CSG International was founded in 1994 by Neal C. Hansen and Dr. George Haddix after acquiring First Data Corporation’s Cable Services Group, which had been in business since 1982. In 1996 the company went public on the NASDAQ (CSGS) and over the next 10 years made a number of strategic acquisitions including Kenan Systems and Telution. In 2008, Peter Kalan became President and CEO and began leading the strategic expansion of the business including orchestrating several other acquisitions, including Quaero, a marketing services and customer intelligence provider, and Intec Telcom, a global provider of billing and mediation solutions. Today, the organization serves the majority of the top 100 global communications service providers with a range of solutions aimed at helping roll out new products and services and operate more effectively. In June 2011, the company rebranded itself CSG International to reflect the broadened scope and size of the organization as the company is now one of the world’s largest BSS/OSS vendors.
