Xavier Buck

Xavier Buck (born 1971) is a European Entrepreneur since 1996. He is the CEO and founder of DCL Group, which comprises an ICANN accredited domain name registrar, EuroDNS.com, a Datacenter company, datacenter.eu and a Voice over IP company, voipGATE.
Other sister companies include a corporate arm, eBrand Services, a company specialised in domain tools, such as monitoring, mark alert and domain history. The secondary market targeting domain name investment and auctioning is also covered with Domain Invest, as well as a domain name news portal, DomainNews. There is also a domain name recovery side with DomainRecovery.com, which provides an online step-by-step solution to the domain recovery needs.

Childhood
Xavier was born and grew up in Luxembourg. At only 14 years old, he created a computing club within its school, called high society computer club and he managed to gather around 1500 members throughout Luxembourg. He discovered the world of computing and video games early, at age 12, and decided to learn how to program. He then took his passion further and became a real expert in the field of computing sciences and new technologies, always aware and in tune with new revolutionary tools and products.
Education
As a logical move and following his passion, Xavier studied computing and new technologies, but was disappointed that the theory did not fit with his expectations. He then started economic sciences studies in Brussels, Belgium. However,he stopped his studies before graduating and created a company called Multisoft, which was proposing consultancy to other companies in the set up of their own networks. Being on hiw own and lacking experience, he had to dissolve the company.
Career
Xavier entered a Telecommunication company in 1998 as Sales Director and rapidly helped in the complete business planning and investment look up. This is the place where he met his future business partner, Marco Houwen, with whom he created in 2000 Datacenter Luxembourg, in 2002 EuroDNS and in 2004 voipGATE, all gathered today under one same umbrella, DCL Group.
Achievements
Xavier has always been a firm believer in accessibility of Domain Names for everyone and the ICT evolutions. He managed to build an international profile group by participating in numerous industry forums and advisory groups. Today, DCL Group counts more than 100 employee across Europe.
In 2008, Xavier has been chosen as the Creative Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Luxembourg and also managed to reach the 4th place worldwide at the JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award, presented at the JCI World Congress in New Delhi, India,
