David "Wyn" Matthews (born February 7, 1969, Swansea, Wales) is a bowls player for Graig Merthyr Bowls Club, Pontarddulais (Outdoor) and Llanelli B.C. (Indoor). Wyn Matthews made his Graig Merthyr debut in 1984 at the age of 15. He gained his first Welsh Outdoor cap in the British Isles Championships in 1991 at Ebbw Vale, where he was also successful in winning the British Isles Triples Competition with Graig Merthyr Bowls Club colleagues, Huw and Stephen Thomas. He was named to the Welsh international bowls squad match which competed at Port Talbot IBC on February 2, 2008. |
