Winter carnival at michigan tech

Winter carnival at is a tradition that has been in place for decades. The first carnival was in 1922, where most of the student population dressed up in animal costumes like it was Halloween . Ever since began to host winter carnival after the depression in 1934 , it has changed dramatically. It is now a four-day long event that much of the student body is involved in. There is a queen, beards, and snow statue competition, along with many special events, and stage review, skits many organizations act out on stage. It is something that people throughout the country come to see these events every year.
