Winter carnival at is a tradition that has been in place for decades. The first carnival was in 1922, where most of the student population dressed up in animal costumes like it was Halloween . Ever since began to host winter carnival after the depression in 1934 , it has changed dramatically. It is now a four-day long event that much of the student body is involved in. There is a queen, beards, and snow statue competition, along with many special events, and stage review, skits many organizations act out on stage.
