Windent Platinum Edition is a comprehensive dental office management system published by Windent for the effective management of daily practice operations. It is the latest release in a long line of programs offered by Healthsoft over the past 20 years. Windent released the Platinum Edition software in August, 2009. The program offers 3-dimensional periodontal and restorative charting with rotating teeth and customizable color, automatic procedure posting and grouping, prescription posting at chair side, diagnosis codes, chair side treatment planning, appointment scheduling and electronic medical records (EMR). Windent Platinum tracks patient health history, allergies, medications, clinical notes and documents, as well as appointment lists, recall management and treatment proposals. Windent Platinum uses Microsoft SQL Server as the database engine and can support multiple locations and large numbers of workstations. The program uses the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 platform.
