They thereafter acquired two more courses in the Minneapolis metro area, one in Mankato, MN, two in Western Wisconsin, and two in Colorado. As of 2007, Chipeta Golf Course in Colorado stands as the only course constructed exclusively by Wilson; Cedar Creek Country Club in Wisconsin is the only private course in the Group. Today, WGG consists of three core managers and eight LLCs.
Management While constituent courses are typically afforded relative independence, three Wilson managers are employed to pursue the aims of the Wilsons:
Greg Stang is currently the Director of Operations and Acquisitions. Greg oversees the activities of the Group's courses and has overseen the transition into the Group of two courses. Greg has a degree in Professional Golf Management and Marketing.
Rick Renner is currently the Chief Financial Officer for WGG. Rick essentially oversees general finances and human resources. Rick holds a degree in Management.
Ann Tacheny is the accountant for WGG. Ann manages the accounting, financial reporting, and administrative communications for the Group overall, while each constituent company has its own accounting responsibilities. Ann holds a BA and a Masters in Business Administration.
WGG adheres to the following principle: "Our philosophy is simple: to put out a good product at the right price while maintaining a customer-friendly atmosphere."
