Willan Rivera

Willan Rivera is a Filipino independent film and music video director. He won the MXY Music Awards for Best Music Video Award in 2016 for his work on " Cerberus". This video is a work collaboration with Filipino rappers Abra, Loonie and Ron Henley.
The MYX Music Awards is an accolade presented by the cable channel Myx to honor hitmakers in the Philippines. The awards ceremony is held annually and occurs most commonly in the month of March, and broadcast relayed on Myx.
Work Collaborations
Willan Rivera has collaborated with Artifice Records with several music videos like "Itch"a music video by LDP. He directed the music video and it was released by Artifice Records. "Itch" was launched together with "Cerberus" featuring Abra. Artifice Records houses musicians like Abra, LDP, Loonie, Ron Henley, Rjay, Alex, Apekz, DJ Buddah, DJ SPNZ and Beatbox Philippines.
Rivera has also worked with Blaze N Kane for the music video for the song "Pirates" He produced the music video together with BNK under his parent company CLIPS Production. Blaze N Kane are artists under Viva Records, the parent company of Viva Entertainment which was founded in 1982.
His recent work collaborations involve rapper Smugglaz under MCA Universal Philippines, Warner Music. He directed and created the color grading for Resbakkk under Clips Films, Vertical Brew and Warner Music Productions. Smugglaz is a Tondo-based hip-hop artist, the music video created by Willan Rivera "Resbakkk" is a comeback video for this Filipino rapper.
He has also collaborated with artist-musician Freddie Aguilar on the music video "Watawat mo, Bayan Ko" and also directed and edited the music video by XienHow feat. Mike Kosa, Mike Swift and Sly Kane - The True MC.
International Collaborations
Willan Rivera has also collaborated with international rap artists. He has created the music video Nothing is Impossible by BNK ft. Layzie Bone, Slone Bone and Muriel. Layzie Bone is an American hip hop artist known for being a member of the group Bone Thug-n-Harmony. He is also the CEO of the record label Harmony Howse Entertainment.One of his songs was used by Fox news during the 2015 NBA Finals for the Cleveland Cavaliers theme song.
Films
The editing and cinematography of the advocacy film Drug Mule in 2013 was also created by Willan Rivera. The story was about a young mother working as a Drug Mule. This film shows why women are forced into dangerous and illegal line of work. The film depicts the story of how drug syndicates smuggle large amount of drugs in Mainland, China.
He is set to release his first Indie Film with the title "Kabute". It will involve the soundtrack of the ethnic tribal band " Kadangyan". The group Kadangyan sets its eye on creating music that is close to preserving tribal wisdom. The band was formed to retain the cultural identity of the Filipinos.
