Will Glover

William James Glover (born 13th December 1993) is a British Sailor
Starting out at a very young age he has slowly worked his way up the ranks of sailing.
Will Glover started sailing a Topper at a very young age. After deciding to compete in raced he soon started to impress becoming the best under 13 sailor in Yorkshire and Humberside. After attending some informal training he got selected into the RYA Zone Squad at the age of 13. Competing in many national events and impressing after his first national competitive year he gained a place in the Topper Team GBR National Intermediate Squad. After another successful year he became a member of ITCA GBR National Youth Squad.
Moving class of boat. Moving into the 29er class he teamed up with Tom Bucktrout former RYA Topper National Squad member. Their first event together was the 29er National Championships 2009 where they gained the title 29er Junior National Champions. This brought corporate sponsorship from kingfisher Yacht Ropes and Rooster Sailing and the team website Gentooracing was formed.
After having another successful year competing internationally Tom Bucktrout and Will Glover gained a place in the RYA 29er Team GBR National Youth Squad.
To date Will Glover has split up with Tom Bucktrout and has most recently sailed with two time Women’s National Champion and two time Youth Girls National Champion Phillipa Gray competing in national events and competing in the National Championships gaining a place of 8th overall.
Hobbies and interests include cycling where he has gained cooperate sponsorship from Acclimatise Me, a company providing altitude simulation training.
