Martin Wilberg

Martin Wilberg (born March 30, 1991, Bærum) is a Norwegian kayak paddler in flatwater races. He is a Nordic youth champion with Morten Andre Sølvberg in K2 500 metres. In addition to this he won another three gold medals in the Norwegian championship (K2: 200 m, 200m and 500 m). He also won two silver medals in K4 200 and 500 m in the Nordic Championship. He didn't win the K2 200 meter gold medal in his class, it was the class a year above him.

Wilberg has been a member of the youth national team of Norway since the summer of 2007. He is planning on attending to the Olympics 2016, not sooner because he will be too young for the upcoming London Olympics in 2012. In 2008 his hopes to attend to the Junior European Championship. Martin believes that his best chances will be in the K4 500 metres competition.

2004 was the year Martin started paddling and had to struggle to keep up with the old paddlers. This way he became better and would soon be at the level of his older fellow paddlers
