Born 17th June 1995, Neil Connell is a hotly anticipated rowing star. So far he has beaten Rene Zamudio, who finished in the top 25 at the NJIRC 2008 (National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships). Currently he trains at Lea Rowing Club under the guidance of Dan Cooper. For his club he finished 3rd in the Year 9-12 single sculls in the London Youth Rowing for 250m, despite only being in Year 9 and competing against boys several years older than himself. Also, in his first regatta he received a Gold medal by outclassing a host of opponents. We anticipate his arrival on the adult international scene with excitement.
