White Coat Admissions Strategists

White Coat Admissions Strategists, LLC is a medical admissions consulting start up founded in April 2017 by three graduates from Johns Hopkins University. White Coat provides admissions service to candidates seeking entry to Medical school in the United States.
History
White Coat Strategists was founded in April 2017. In a May 2017 interview, co-Founder Melaku Arega told Jopwell that "e felt that there were not enough advising resources when we applied, and the limited resources that were available were marketed at a very high, unaffordable price." With two classmates from Johns Hopkins, Arega launched White Coat to increase access to application advising through lower prices and free services for low-income applicants.

Pre-Medical Advising
White Coat Strategists' pricing for these services has received positive reviews from the press. A May 2017 article in the The Express Tribune commented that "WCS goes a long way in bridging the gap between those who have the financial backing to create a better application and those that do not. It essentially levels the playing field in terms of the priority given to better-organised applications."
Pro Bono Services
The pro bono services have been described as mutually beneficial to both clients and White Coat. A campus publication through Johns Hopkins University cited, "A forward-thinking strategy guides this pro bono option: White Coat views its own clients as potential consultants."
