Western Australian Young Liberals

The Young Liberal Movement of Western Australia, is the youth wing of the Liberal Party of Australia (W.A. Division). Membership is open to any person under 31 who shares a belief in liberalism. The Young Liberal Movement is heavily involved in campaigning for Liberal candidates running in State and Federal elections. It is also involved in policy debates and is able to raise motions of Policy in the Liberal Party's various forums of discussion. Ideology The Young Liberal Movement of Western Australia, like the Liberal Party itself, adheres to the political philosophies of Liberalism and Liberal Conservatism. There is a general focus on the freedom of the individual and free market economics, as well as a general respect for the traditions and history of Australia. Organisation The Movement is made up of a number of Committees. These are divisionally based, with one per Federal electorate. The current Patrons of the Movement are the Hon. Peter Collier MLC as the State Patron, Hon. Senator Mathias Cormann as the Federal Patron and Chris Tan as the Organisational Patron. The Current Vice-Patrons of the Movement are Sen.
