Recent history
The corporate parent is now called "AirWatch". This was only a name change. "AirWatch" is also the name of network management software marketed by the Wandering WiFi division. As the AirWatch website says: "The company started as Wandering WiFi, a provider of network installation, monitoring and technical support for an enterprise’s wireless infrastructure. The AirWatch technology was developed to provide a centralized console for advanced network monitoring and proactive issue resolution. The Wandering WiFi division continues to deliver next-generation internet access solutions using the AirWatch software to improve network efficiency."
Wandering WiFi has exclusive WiFi contracts for Panera Bread, Pilot-Flying J Travel Centers, Loves Travel Centers, Sun Health care, Fundamental Health care, Kroger Grocery Stores, Safeway Grocery Stores, Giant Grocery Stores, and many other brands. Wandering WiFi is also the preferred WiFi provider for many other Auto Dealerships, Hotels, Grocery Brands, Cafes, and Hospitals.
In April, 2009, Wandering WiFi donated wireless services and support to all three Atlanta hospitals in the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta group.
In March 2009, Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL adopted Wandering WiFi as their hospital wireless provider.
Wandering WiFi is now owned by "VMware" due to their acquisition of AirWatch in 2014.
