Srikrishna Vishnubhotla

Srikrishna Vishnubhotla (; born 17 August 1983) is an Indian playback singer.
Early life and background
Srikrishna was born to Sree Chandramohan and Sreemathi Venkata Padmavathi in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and hails from a non-musical family background.
Srikrishna, a jubilant young man with a beaming face, is not just one of the most sought after singers in the Telugu filmdom, but is also a Radio Jockey and a TV anchor of various music-based programmes who won appreciation from many stalwarts of south Indian music including Dr. Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna, Sree S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, Smt. P. Susheela, and Smt. K.S. Chitra among others. His dedication and untiring efforts in bringing out the best make him best suited for all the praise.
Srikrishna too had done his post-graduation from Vijayawada. Developing a taste for music as a school-going kid, Srikrishna maintained both music and academic excellence in parallel, while performing as a singer on various occasions. A versatile musician, Smt. Annapurna was Srikrishna’s first music teacher, and a never-compromising guru Sree N.C. Bucchayacharlu emphasized on constant practice. With such inspiring personalities for teachers, Srikrishna went on to win several appreciations and recognition since his childhood. Between his age of 10 and 18, Srikrishna won numerous prizes in various music competitions conducted all over the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Srikrishna also participated in the Bharat Vikas Parishad competitions held at national-level in Varanasi. He even won the gold medal in the Annamayya keertanas competition conducted by the prestigious Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD), thereby paving his way to become a good semi-classical singer. At an age of 20, Srikrishna participated in the Thyagaraja Aradhanotsavam for the first time; he has participated in various music concerts ever since, rendering traditional compositions and compositions by famous vaaggEyakara-s including Annamayya, Jayadeva, Kshetrayya and the likes. He even stood as the Final Title Winner in the TV show “paaDaalani undi” conducted by Sree S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. He won the National Award in the devotional songs competition conducted at the national-level by the All India Radio.
Smt. Munjuluri Krishna Kumari, the then-Programme Executive of All India Radio-Vijayawada, supported him through his singing career, by encouraging him to sing patriotic, devotional, and feel-good songs in the All India Radio. Great personalities in music, including Sree Modhumudi Sudhakar, Sree Malladi Suribabu, and others have directed and supervised Srikrishna’s renditions, preparing him further on his path to a future career as a singer. Srikrishna’s career in light music started with a song written and composed by none other than the veteran writer-composer Sree Balanthrapu Rajanikantha Rao. Srikrishna was a much-appreciated Radio Jockey for three years, at 93.5 RED FM.
At a time when the Telugu film industry was teeming with proven young singers, Srikrishna’s mellifluous voice attracted popular music directors in the film industry and he was invited to sing in films at an age of 24! His first song, composed by senior music director Sree Koti, was muddulakE muddocchE... from the film Gopi. Soon, Srikrishna found himself working with big-name music directors such as Koti, Raj, Devi Sri Prasad, Vandemataram Srinivas, Mani Sharma, Ramana Gogula, vidyasagar, R.P. Patnaik, M.M. Srilekha, Kalyani Malik, Anup, Saluri Vasu Rao, Madhavapeddi Suresh, G. V. Prakash Kumar, etc. With another singer Smt. Sunitha Upadrashta, Srikrishna crooned for the TV shows such as Zee Telugu’s sa-ri-ga-ma-pa and jeevana tarangaalu. His singing talent knew no bounds, as his voice went on to reach heights in not only Telugu but also Tamil (taay tinDra mannE… composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar for aayirattil oruvan), gandede (Kannada film),Kannada (Sivaraatri… composed by K.M. Radhakrishnan for Sreekalahasti maahaatmyam), and Malayalam (DOlaare DOlaare Dum… composed by Koti for Arundhati). In Telugu, Srikrishna sang in numerous films including Gopi, Classmates, ashTaa chemmaa, aalayam, Target, viyyaala vaari kayyaalu, Laila-Majnu, maa aayana chanTi pillaaDu, Blade Babji, Brahmi gaaDi katha, virOdhi, mugguru, Climbing up the ladder of success with an ever-mindful attitude, Srikrishna soon had many songs to his credit, and several other notable achievements too. He was invited as a Guest Singer to the Thallapaka Annamacharya Jayanthi Utsavalu conducted by the TTD in May, 2008. He sang on the dais under the music direction of Sree Koti for the grand-scale event commemorating the 75 years of Telugu Cinema. He performed with popular musicians such as Sree S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, Sree Mano, Smt. K.S. Chitra, Devi sri prasad,Thaman,Smt. S.P. Sailaja, M.M. Srilekha, Malathi, Karthik, Ranjith, Suchitra, Geetha Madhuri, and so on. He even performed multiple times with Sree S.P. Balasubrahmanyam in the United States of America, Dubai, and Singapore, winning appreciation from wide audiences as both a singer and an anchor in all such occasions. Srikrishna is also popular as one of the mentors for MaaTV’s series Idea Super Singers 3,super singer 5 "TITLE WINNER", super singer 7 "THE BEST TEAM AND BEST MALE SINGER". and rocked in super singer 7 .
The silver lining on the cloud of his vocal talent is his personality itself - a mannerful, humble, meek individual who’s always respectful to elite people and erudite scholars, Sri Krishna is punctual and professional while at work. It’s thus of no wonder that his pleasing countenance and committed work make lasting impression on satisfied music directors. He is currently busy with about ten films at hand as a singer.
