Silvia Busuioc

Silvia Busuioc (born September 7, 1989) is a Russian/Italian actress and model.
Biography
Silvia Busuioc was born in Chisinau, Moldova. Her artistic career started from an early age through dancing. At the age of 7 she started studying modern dance, Latino, jazz, tango, progressing in her teenage years to hip-hop and belly dancing. By the age of 12 she was performing in many dance shows on Moldavian National TV and at numerous theaters and cultural institutions in Moldova and Ukraine with her dancing group.
In 2002, whilst attending national state school studying foreign languages, she also began studying in the private school of performing arts in Chisnau “Bat - Intelect”, where she took her first acting classes, as well as photography, arts, fashion, aesthetics.
In 2006 Silvia Busuioc won her first beauty competition at national level in Moldova and was on the cover page of the national Moldavian magazine Jurnal de Chisinau. In the same year she began studying Radio Journalism at Centru Media Pentru Tineri (Moldavian Youth Cultural Center) and started her collaboration with national Radio Moldova, hosting youth radio programs.
Career
In 2007 she took A-level Examinations at The International Cambridge School in Chisinau and graduated in Business Studies, Economics, English Language and Literature.
In the same year she participated in the national youth competition, with an informational campaign against Tuberculosis through a series of short films written, directed and acted by participants, project sponsored by Caritas Moldova and sustained by Production Company Agentia Media Impact. Silvia Busuioc and 15 other students out of the country were selected to participate in writing and directing a short movie. As a result she wrote the script and acted as a lead in the short film “A doua Sansa” (Second Chance), which won the first place at national level.
The same year, at the age of 17 she moved to Italy working as a model for numerous advertising campaigns and also made her first appearance on Italian TV whilst continuing her studies as an actress as well as dancing. In 2007 she also auditioned for the movie “Still Life” and got the role of a young dancer Angela. Her outstanding performance in the movie brought Silvia many other important roles and contributed to her growth as an actress.
In 2011 Silvia won the part of Clelia in the feature film “Francesco Baracca, l’asso degli assi”, a historical movie based on the biography of the Italy's top fighter pilot of World War I, where she plays his lover. In the same year she started to work with an established Italian director, writer and actor Rocco Ricciardulli for an important play “Animelle! Un euro al chilo”, where she got the lead role of Lilia. The main topic of the play is human trafficking, violence towards women and prostitution. The play had great success and went on on European Tour being highly received by the critics and participating at Fringe Festival and was also picked up by the Italian Embassy in Romania, where the play was shown in the country’s main theaters gaining great reviews and success.
In 2012 she was confirmed as a foreign guest and observer at “The Actors Studio” in Hollywood, her position confirmed by the artistic director of the studio, Martin Landau, and was invited to attend the acting sessions there as a guest.
In 2013 she gets the lead role in the Italian famous TV film “Fuoriclasse 2”, where her character Galina had to speak four different languages: Italian, Russian, German and English. Silvia is fluent in 5 foreign languages. The show was broadcast in March 2014 and was a real success, leading with every episode the prime time on the national TV Channel Rai1.
The third season of the series “Fuoriclasse 3” at the moment is in pre-production and will be featuring the same cast.
