Logo LMKR's navy-blue logo was designed by Ismail Gulgee.Gulgee has designed the logo in an abstract Calligraphic style. The angular script flows to form a fluid circular shape. It reads "LMK Resources" in Urdu. Geoscience services LMKR offers geoscience solutions and services to the upstream sector globally. Services are offered through various offshore centers and onsite support and consultants. Core services offered are Geoscience Software Support and Consultancy, Seismic Processing Consultancy, Petrophysical Services, Geoscience Software Testing, Petroleum Engineering Services and Integrated Interpretation. Information management The company provides upstream information management solutions and services through a series of offshore centers. Additionally, LMKR offers remote services over high-bandwidth internet connections. Core service offerings include Physical Data Management, Corporate Data Management and Project Data Management. LMKR holds the sole rights of managing, archiving, marketing and sale of Pakistan's geological and geophysical digital and hardcopy seismic and well log data. Information technology The company offers enterprise software solutions to various businesses across the world. Currently the key offerings include E-Governance and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions; Geographic Information System (GIS) Enterprise Development, Customization and Implementation; RFID and biometrics based identification and security solutions; automated software testing services and training simulations. Recent developments (2007) Share repurchase agreement with Landmark Graphics Corporation (LGC) LMKR Holdings, a company within the Khan Group headed by Atif Rais Khan, signed a definitive share purchase agreement on December 06, 2006, with Landmark Graphics Corporation (“Landmark”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL), re-acquiring Landmark’s shares, in LMK Resources. Investment in Scrybe, Corp LMKR recently set up a venture capital unit primarily investing in IT and petroleum technology start-ups. The first of a series of investments was made in a US-based technology start-up called Scrybe, Corp. Investment in LMKR Holdings by Actis Actis Capital, a private equity investor in emerging markets has recently acquired a 49% interest in LMKR Holdings.
