Walk with a doc

Walk with a Doc is a grassroots effort organized by medical professionals in an effort to bring the benefits of regular exercise and healthy nutrition to the masses. The medical professional led walking program strives to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and to reverse the nationwide epidemic of obesity in order to improve the health and well-being of the country. A typical Walk with a Doc event involves healthy snacks, a discussion led by a medical professional, blood pressure checks, and availability of the doctor, nurse, etc. for questions. This is followed by a walk where the pace and distance is self-determined.
Founder/CEO David Sabgir, MD, started the Walk with a Doc program in April 2005 in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Sabgir is a board-certified cardiologist who practices with Clinical Cardiology Specialists in Columbus.
