Direct Care Group (DCG) is a regional company taking an alternative approach to concierge medicine, also called personal medicine, direct care, or direct primary care. Their physicians focus on wellness, nutrition, and preventative health care in a personalized format. Like similar firms, DCG's model is based on a limited patient base which allows patients more attention and time with their doctors. The Direct Care Group's business model is unique as the company partners with doctors to take ownership of practices. This reduces the financial risk to doctors and provides the infrastructure needed for a smooth transition while the doctor focuses on her trade of practicing medicine. Traditionally, medical services companies in the concierge space have acted in a more consultative and passive role and require new doctors to make a financial commitment. Direct Care Group was started in 2009 and is currently headquartered in Bonita Springs in Southwest Florida. |
