Lisa Masson

Dr. Lisa Michelle Masson (October 30, 1958) is an American physician.

Dr. Masson is currently President Elect of the Stanislaus County Medical Society (2008). She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Davis (2008), and Inpatient EHR Clinical Lead at Sutter Health (2008). Previously she served as Chief of Staff of the Memorial Hospital Association, Stanislaus (2003-2005), and Chair of the Board of Governors for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (2001-2003). She has also been Chairman of the Department of Family Practice at Memorial Hospital (1997-2001) and part of the Electronic Medical Record Management Team for the Gould Medical Group.

She attended MIT, receiving two Bachelor’s Degrees - Humanities/Social Sciences and Life Sciences (1976-1980); went on to UCLA for a Master of Arts in Biology (1980-1981); studied at New York Medical College (1981-1092); received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Southern California (1982-1985), and an MBA from the University of Michigan (2005-2008).

Dr. Masson is certified in Epic Ambulatory, Adolescent Medicine, Sports Medicine and Family Practice. She is frequently consulted on emerging topics in contemporary medical practice.

Masson is a columnist for the Modesto Bee, writing on everything from physical health and mental well-being to the neighborhood orchestra.

Masson’s father, Dr. Jack Watson Masson (1921-2000), was an internist and cardiologist. Her mother, Margaret Jean Masson, is a registered nurse and practicing clinical psychologist. Lisa Masson’s husband, Dr. Joseph Johnny Provenzano, is also a family practice physician.
