VYZAR () is a real-time, cross-platform, 3D and Augmented Reality engine for iOS and Android . Developed by Limitless Computing, Inc., VYZAR officially launched at CES 2013 with a press conference and was featured in the official CES press release. VYZAR is the technology behind the first mobile Augmented Reality app for Trimble SketchUp . Technology 3D Engine Technology VYZAR uses OpenGL ES2 and is optimized for high polygon counts. The 3D engine has no explicit limit on polygon size and is limited only by the available amount of RAM on the mobile device. Augmented Reality Technology The Augmented Reality engine combines data from the accelerometer, GPS, compass, gyroscope, and camera with digital data (2D, 3D, and animated). The accuracy of the VYZAR engine is limited by the accuracy of the device on-board GPS. VYZAR geo-location is used for physically large digital content , such as building designs, to enable users to virtually walk through a design prior to construction. Markers VYZAR is also capable of scanning the camera feed for markers and QR-codes. Markers for the VYZAR engine are called Sleek Markers and perform actions when scanned. Sleek Markers can be physical or digital, encoded with metadata including digital content ID and coordinate information, and used for positioning. . For 2D and animated data, the engine supports .PNG. .XML, .ZIP, and can be expanded to support additional formats. The digital content (2D, 3D, and animated) is rendered onto a real-world environment provided by the camera. Originally designed for professionals in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) fields, VYZAR supports digital 3D data with high polygon counts and real-time manipulation. Because of the AEC focus of VYZAR, it also renders digital data onto the environment to-scale and is manipulated in real-time. Availability SDK The VYZAR Software Development Kit, for iOS and Android, enables developers to load 3D content entirely on the device (no server connection necessary) and access the Augmented Reality capabilities of mobile including geo-location and markers. Custom Development The VYZAR engine allows Limitless Computing, Inc. to develop custom applications for clients and includes access to Sleek Marker technology for iOS and Android Consumer Applications VYZAR technology is currently available in mobile applications for iOS and Android including SightSpace 3D for Trimble SketchUp, , the VYZAR showcase app, and Circulizar Gifts for social Augmented Reality.
