Vueling Airlines Flight 9127

Vueling Airlines Flight 9127 was a commercial flight between Paris, France and Alicante, Spain. On August 5, 2009 at 10h36 (local time) at least eight people were injured when the Airbus A320 caught fire while taxiing for departure from Paris-Orly Airport. A controlled evacuation was carried out using the evacuation slides.
There was no damage to airport facilities or other aircraft but the aircraft was damaged.
Flight
The flight was prepared to leave Paris-Orly at 15:00, local time, and it was expected to land in Alicante at 17:00, local time.

"The firefighters arrived less than two minutes later, a steward opened the doors, activated the escape slides and a flight attendant told us in Spanish to evacuate," said a passenger Terry Volante.
Investigation
The plane caught fire because of faulty maintenance.
