American Trans Air Flight 131

American Trans Air was a DC-10 charter flight. The flight landed at Chicago O'Hare International Airport from Los Angeles. No passengers, crew or luggage were aboard the aircraft at the time. As the airplane was getting ready for departure, some maintenance workers noticed a fire at around 7:20AM. According to sources, the fire tore the roof and firefighters arrived and shot foam at the aircraft to try extingush the fire before it spread to a nearby Mexicana de Aviación Boeing 727 aircraft . No one was killed in the incident, but a firefighter was struck in the face by foam and was taken to the hospital.
