Virtual Internet Cafe

Virtual Internet Cafe
Virtual Internet Cafe is the worlds first Internet Cafe on the Internet. The principles are the same as for a regular Internet Cafe with the difference that Virtual Internet Cafe is completely based on the Internet. So instead of physically visiting a Internet Cafe you remote control dedicated cafe computers. By remote controlling a cafe computer the user have the opportunity to be completely anonymous on the Internet since all Internet activities are done from the Cafe computer, through the remote control window, instead of on the users own computer. The user will also benefit from not exposing his own computer to Internet spywares and other malicious software while surfing the Internet from a cafe computer.
The service is designed to help free speech over the world and to protect the integrity of users of the Internet.

Technology
Virtual Internet Cafe use VMware virtual machines for all cafe computers. By doing so and setting all cafe computers disks to independent non-persistent virtual disks, the cafe computers will always be restored back to its original state and all local data from the previous user will be deleted. This design ensures that the next user always will connect to a fully operating cafe computer and that the previous user will not have to worry about cleaning up or leaving any personal traces before logging out. The whole Internet cafe is fully automated.

History
Virtual Internet Cafe was launched in July 2008 by founder and developer Peter Nilsson from Vansbro with help from developers Andreas Heydeck, Kyrksten and Mattias Lundell, Degerfors. All three from Sweden. The idea and initial design started in March 2006.
