Vikash Kumar is the Executive Director and founder of Microfinance Focus, an organization that offers Microfinance original news and data about the global microfinance industry. His leadership has promoted Microfinance Focus to be an accredited online news portal and led to the expansion of the business. Through a variety of jobs and responsibilities, Vikash became intimately familiar with the microfinance industry. Vikash's expert knowledge of the industry will be invaluable in the production of articles. Education Vikash Kumar received his BA in Arts from S. K. University, Dumaka and Post Graduate Diploma in NGO Management from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmadabad. At EDI, he specialized in management of microfinance and micro-enterprise development. Career Vikash is a certified Trainer of Microfinance, accredited by Asian Development Bank. He worked with Grameen Financial service Pvt. Ltd as a Senior Project Specialist, involved with bringing various projects and new services, including Individual Lending and Mobile Banking. He has been also associated with Akshara Network for Livelihood Services for assisting and conducting consultancies assignments. His expertise areas include Networking, Strategic Business Planning, Project Management, Developing training materials and Development Communication. Recognitions & Awards Vikash is also the winner of the first “Solution Exchange (A wing of UN, India) - Microfinance Community Knowledge Promoter Award 2007” for “Outstanding Community Support”.
