Verducianism ( Ver-Do-Key-an-ism ) is a fictional religion from the sitcom 30 Rock where people believe in the healing power of root beer, and a man can have up to nine wives. Some holidays include merlin pean which is a celebration where Verducians leave work and go to the movies, and The Day of Mouth Pleasures, where Verducians receive free sausage pizza and gentle flossing done by a blonde virgin. Practices include putting out a picture of Jimmy Conners and a bowl of meat cubes on an altar, singing Verducian songs, drinking root beer, getting married, and eating pizza. Verducianism is invented by the characters of 30 Rock to avoid a secret santa gift exchange.
