Vasile Troian (born January 1, 1961) is an American artist, who lives and works in New York. Troian was born in Poduri, Romania. He studied at University of the Arts (1983-1987), where he received his B.F.A. in Painting. Artistic Style Troian furthers his work using a wide range of materials that have included iron, wax, resin, acrylic, hair, fabrics, oil, aluminum, celluclay, etc. The result are sophisticated, highly intimate creations that call and provoke the viewer's sensations, memory, and emotions. Despite daily stiles he continued to work with traditional subject-matter in fresh and new contexts, continuing to experiment and invent ways of making figures look different. Also he is interested in sculptural qualities to such an extend that he was turning paintings into sculptures. Recently, the confluence of different factors have created an unprecedented interest in emerging media technologies.
