Untitled Sukumar project

Thus untitled and upcoming Telugu revenge drama is written & directed by Sukumar starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in the lead role marking his 25th film as an actor. This film is produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director and R. Rathnavelu is the cinematographer. Production began on 18 December 2014.
Production
Before the release of his directorial 1: Nenokkadine (2014), Sukumar announced his next film in early August 2013 with N. T. Rama Rao Jr. as the male lead bankrolled by B. V. S. N. Prasad under the banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. By then, N. T. Rama Rao Jr. was busy in the filming of Ramayya Vasthavayya (2013) and Rabhasa (2014). Idlebrain.com refuted the rumours that this film may be shelved since 1: Nenokkadine was a commercial failure. Regarding the same, Sukumar said "I have no clue who is spreading such rumours and why. The project is on and I am working on the script right now", during his stay at Lavasa near Pune. Later N. T. Rama Rao Jr. signed Temper (2015) directed by Puri Jagannadh, making this film his 25th film as an actor. The project was kept on hold as both N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Sukumar wanted to tighten the script and finalize it before starting the Production activities.
The film was revived in mid September 2014 and Sukumar continued working on the film's script in Goa. The final version of the script was ready by mid December 2014 and the film was expected to begin in January 2015. Formal launch event was expected to be held in late December 2014 or early January 2015; Principal photography commencing after the release of Temper. The film was formally launched on 18 December 2014. Devi Sri Prasad and R. Rathnavelu were reported to be finalized as the music director and cinematographer respectively. The launch ceremony was held at Chennai. N. T. Rama Rao Jr. was unavailable as he was mourning the death of his brother Janakiram. A press release confirmed that the film was launched at 11:39 AM on 18 December 2014 and would be a stylish revenge drama with the regular shooting commencing on 7 January 2015.
