Thamizh Padam (; ) is a 2010 Indian Tamil language spoof film written and directed by debutant C. S. Amudhan. The film stars Shiva and Disha Pandey in the lead roles. The film's plot parodies contemporary commercial films in Tamil cinema, mocking the stereotypical scenes. Release The film was distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, and it was released on 29 January 2010 and won critical acclaim and commercial success at the box office. The film was later remade to Telugu as Sudigadu. Announced Sequel Tamizh Padam 2 is a comedy film starring Shiva. It is a sequence of 2010 blockbuster Tamizh Padam. There are on going rumours that the director has roped in Anirudh as music director. The film is expected to release in 2015. |
