Uchi Uchibeke

Uchi Uchibeke (born Ugobame Uchibeke on December 18, 1989) is a Nigerian/Canadian-based Software Engineer, Founder and Inventor. He is the founder of NaijaHacks and AfricaHacks.
In 2020, he created Chimoney which is used by Microsoft and SheCodeAfrica.
Early life and Education
Uchi Uchibeke grew up in Rivers State Nigeria. And attended one of the Federal Government of Nigeria Unity schools were he served as a Head Boy for three years.
Uchi Uchibeke attended the University of Saskatchewan graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Interactive Systems Design with a scholarship from the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency.
Career
Uchibeke's first technology experience was as an Intern at IBM. After IBM, he worked at the Royal Bank of Canada where he invented, alongside his team, Platform for generating authenticated data objects.
After working at Shopify and Securekey, he joined Coil as the Head of Developer Relations.
While Uchibeke was at IBM, Royal Bank of Canada, Shopify, and Coil, he founded NaijaHacks and AfricaHacks. He also created Chimoney in 2020.
In 2020, Uchi Uchibeke was recognized as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) in 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).
Uchibeke hosts the On the Fence podcast.
