Scott Ferreira

Scott Ferreira (born November 4, 1990) is an American entrepreneur, programmer and philanthropist. He is co­founder and CTO of Forrge. Scott is also known for co­founding MySocialCloud with his younger sister Stacey Ferreira.
Scott formerly served as CEO of FreeBike Project, a company that offers an innovative college marketing solution for brands, while giving students easy and free access to great transportation.
He has been featured on and contributed to several news outlets such as Huffington Post, Business Insider, Techcrunch, and SocalTech.
Early life and education
Ferreira was born on November 4, 1990 in Scottsdale, Arizona. His mother, Patricia Ferreira, worked in accounting for IBM and then later became an accountant at the State of Arizona. His father Victor Ferreira, is a Vice President of Sales at HP and formerly worked in accounting and sales for IBM and sales at Accenture. Ferreira has attributed much of his love for technology because of his father's work in the industry.
Scott attended Brophy College Prep, and at the age of 15 co­founded The Open Table — a nonprofit with a mission to help the homeless return to self­sufficiency and become active members of society. He currently serves as an advisory member where he assists with many financial, legal, administrative, and community relation activities.
Scott attended the University of Southern California to complete a degree his bachelor's degree in Architecture­ during his time at USC he founded MySocialCloud with his sister Stacey Ferreira. However, after two years he took a leave of absence to pursue MySocialCloud full­time.
The Open Table
Scott co-­founded an organization called The Open Table. Rather than investing their old clothes, members of The Open Table invest what they have learned on their life journeys and connect to their personal networks in their congregations and community to bring skill building, services and door opening to the plan. Their mission statement: To transform homelessness and poverty through innovation and empowerment — one life, one family and one neighborhood at a time.
MySocialCloud
Ferreira co­founded MySocialCloud with his sister, Stacey Ferreira, and programmer, Shiv Prakash, while he was still attending university. The idea originally stemmed from a computer crash that left him without the spreadsheet he used to store usernames and passwords for his online accounts.
In 2013, the siblings sold MySocialCloud to Reputation.com and moved from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area.
FreeBike Project
Scott was a co­founder and the CEO of the FreeBike Project where he continued to pursue his philanthropic goals­ his team has recently pledged to donate a bike to a student living in poverty overseas for every one they lease to a student in the US.
Scott also handled sales and platform improvements in developing the business. Some of FreeBike Project clients included The North Face, ZipCar, AEG Live, American Heart Association, Lyft and many others.
And as of November 2015, FBP assets were acquired by Alt Terrain.
Forrge
In 2015, Scott Ferreira teamed up with Stacey Ferreira, Lloyd Jones and Talulah Riley to co­found Forrge. He now serves as CTO for the on­demand labor marketplace that empowers companies to give their hourly workforce the ability to work when and where they want.
In November 2015, the team raised up to $1.5M in venture funding. The company is backed by some of the most seasoned and respected investors in the world including those at the forefront of the on­demand economy and retail­­ such as Social+Capital, Sherpa Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, Inevitable Ventures, 1517Fund, as well as a group of strategic angels. They share investors with Uber, Tesla, Slack, Box, and SpaceX.
