Tufail Hussain Chowdhary

Tufail Hussain Chowdhary is a political activist from Jammu and Kashmir who is affiliated to Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party and is presently working as UT General Secretary of its youth wing since July 2021. From September 2018 he was President of District Reasi Youth Congress from where he resigned in September 2020.
Study
In 2014, Tufail selected in National Institute of Technology, Srinagar from where he pursued B.Tech. degree in Computer Science Engineering.
Political activity
Just after completing his engineering in 2018, Tufail contested elections for the President post of Reasi District of Indian Youth Congress and thus won by defeating his rival by 204 votes. He played active role in 2019 Indian Lok Sabha elections in Reasi District. One year after the abrogation of Article 370 and degrading of erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir into a Union Territory of India, he resigned from his post in September 2020 as a protest against his party for not raising the voice of suffering people of his district.
In 2021, he joined the newly formed regional party, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party of Jammu and Kashmir and thus appointed its Union Territory General Secretary of Youth Wing.
