Zubair Anam

Zubair Anam is an Indian Political Activist.Who Served as State Vice President of National Student Union of India (NSUI) of Assam State. He actively involved in Citizen Amendment Act Protests in 2019-2020. He was also arrested by the Dispur Police to do same. But later he got bail from Guwahati High Court.
Early Life
He did his schooling till matriculation from Don Bosco school Panbazar. After completing Intermediate from RJ College Guwahati. He moved to Bangalore to pursue Bachelor of Arts in Bhagwan Mahavir Jain College, Bangalore. However he quit and came back to Guwahati and joined Bachelor of Architecture from Guwahati College of Architecture
Political Career
He contested his first election in 2013, when his friends Kankan Sarma and Abhinav Borbora convinced his to contest the National Student Union of India (NSUI) organizational election for the post of District General Secretary. After serving as the General Secretary for two years, contested the next election in 2015 for the Post of State President and came fifth, becoming a State Vice President. He contested the NSUI election for the third time in 2017 for the post of State President and came second in the State, becoming a Vice President till 2021. He applied for Party Ticket from Indian National Congress in the 2021 Assembly Elections of the State, but the seat was given to its alliance party All India United Democratic Front.
