TruckIt OKC is a cell phone application, launched in 2014, that allows users to find and track mobile food trucks in Oklahoma City, OK. Food truck fans can follow TruckIt OKC on Twitter or Facebook for updates on new trucks, special events and other food truck information. History The TruckIt OKC app was created by Travis Stephens and Josh DeLozier, both residents of Oklahoma City, after finding no good option for tracking food trucks. The duo collaborated with Oklahoma City-based graphic designer, Brandon Land, to develop the TruckIt OKC logo. How It Works for Food Truck Lovers * The TruckIt OKC app is available for free through the Apple App Store. * After downloading, the eater simply opens the app and tracks the food trucks in their area of Oklahoma City * The app displays food trucks in order of distance from the eater's GPS location. * Eaters can click on a menu, which is actually a photo, to discover food offerings. * They can also tweet at the truck, ask them questions, show off their food purchases, or connect with other Twitter users. How It Works for Food Truck Owners * The TruckIt OKC app is available for free through the Apple App Store. * After downloading, the food truck owner creates and account, inputting their truck name, a short description of the truck's food offerings and their Twitter handle. * The truck owner also uploads the logo of their food truck, which they can change at any time. * When ready to connect with eaters, the food truck owner inputs their location and hours of operation. This information is automatically collected for an easy-to-send tweet to the truck's Twitter followers. * The truck owners also take a snapshot of their menu, which again may be changed at any time (i.e.: If the truck sells out of an item they may upload a new photo. If they leave early, the can change their hours.)
