Anthony P. Zilincik (b. 1967) is an American composer, tubist, director and music educator. He graduated with degrees in composition from Central Michigan University and Bowling Green University, and is an assistant professor in the music faculty of Capital University. He is the head of the composition area within the music department, and the director of "Capital Thunder," the university's tuba and euphonium ensemble. He has also been an Instructor of Tuba at Otterbein College. He is the son-in-law of former Otterbein music professor Gary Tirey, and in 2006 he took over an annual tuba music festival, "Merry TubaChristmas", which had been founded by Tirey. Works Selected works include: *"Circles of Magic and Dancing" for oboe and percussion, commissioned in 2009 by the St. Andrew's Bach Society of Tucson, Arizona *"Seeing Stones", performed by Pat Stuckemeyer and The Arizona State University Wind Ensemble on their CD Footprints (Potenza Music, 2010, PM1008).
