Timothy Pogacar

Timothy Pogacar (born 30 December 1955), is Slovene American literary historian, editor, and translator. Since 1998 he has been Chair of the Department of German, Russian & East Asian Languages at Bowling Green State University.
Education
In 1979, he received B.S. in Russian, Spanish & Linguistics from Georgetown University and M.A. in Russian Language & Literature from the University of Kansas in 1981, where he received in 1985 also Ph.D. in Slavic Languages & Literatures.
Career
From 1985-1990 he was Assistant Professor and from 1989-1993 Director of the International Studies Department. Since 1991 he has been Associate Professor of Russian at Bowling Green State University.
He is the President of the Society for Slovene Studies and, since 1996, has been the editor of Slovene Studies: Journal of the Society for Slovene Studies. Professor Pogacar's research interests include Slovene literature and Twentieth-century Russian literature.
