Dr. Fatma Nevra Seggie (born 1969, Istanbul, Turkey) is an Assistant Professor of Higher Educational Administration at in Istanbul. She received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2007. She also has an M.A. from the University of Warwick and a B.A. from Istanbul University.
Dr. Seggie's research areas include secularism and the headscarf ban in higher education institutions in Turkey. She has published articles in the journal Higher Education and also a chapter in the book, 'Soaring Beyond Boundaries' edited by Reitu Mabokela .
She has also written op-ed pieces in the Turkish Daily News .
In 2008, she will be the Division Chair for the Council on International Higher Education, a subdivision of the Association for the Study of Higher Education.
