Evin M. Daly (born April 13, 1961) is an American businessman, writer and publisher of the ButlerReport in Boca Raton, Florida. He grew up in Sligo, a small town on the West Coast of Ireland and in Dublin, Ireland’s capital, the adopted child of a Department of Education School’s Inspector and a Teacher. His father Michael was a founder of the Yeats Summer School and on retiring became the Director of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.
Mr. Daly immigrated to New York City in July 1987 and worked for a division of Ogilvy & Mather Inc. Subsequent positions included senior management - Chief Operating Officer - at two electronic publishing consulting firms in Connecticut between 1990 and 1996. He and his family moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1996. He and his wife Laura are members of Temple Beth El in Boca Raton.
Through his holding company Parker Schofield Group Inc., Mr. Daly has holdings in industries as diverse as solar power, firearms, publishing, personal property appraising and jewelry retailing. Mr. Daly is the Chairman of the International Appraisers Association in Coral Gables, Florida.
He is a Guardian ad Litem at the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach, Florida, the President of the Voices for Children Palm Beach County - a non for profit which helps abused and neglected children and the Executive Director and founder of Child Abuse Watch (abusewatch.net), a child abuse watchdog that investigates and tracks absconded child abusers. Mr. Daly’s interest in assisting child victims stems from his experience in attending St. John’s School in Sligo where five out of twelve teachers who taught during his time there are convicted child abusers. He is Certified in End of Life Care and is a volunteer at the Hospice Care Center at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton.
His is married with five grown children who live in Boca Raton, San Francisco and Seattle. His wife Laura is a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse and is the founder of the Laura Daly Foundation in Palm Beach Florida, a fund dedicated to children in need. His brother Patrick is the Parish Priest of St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Wolverhampton, England.
