Timothy J. Dyches

Timothy John Dyches (born January 15, 1951) has been a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 2013. He is a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy.
Dyches was born in Murray, Utah, to Milo Fredrick and Mary Katherine Dyches, the second of seven children. He earned a bachelor's degree in university studies from Brigham Young University (BYU) and a medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. He worked as an ear, nose, and throat specialist in Reno, Nevada.
While Dyches was a student at BYU he met his future wife, Jill Dudley. They were married in the Manti Utah Temple in 1974 and are the parents of three children.
At the time he became a general authority, Dyches was serving in the LDS Church as a deacons quorum adviser. He has served the church in a variety of callings, including as a full-time missionary in the Germany South Mission, stake high councilor, counselor in a stake presidency, stake president, president of the Oregon Portland Mission (2008 to 2011) and area seventy.
On April 6, 2013, Dyches was sustained by church members as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy. In August 2013, Dyches became a member of the presidency of the church's Europe Area
