Timmy Adamson

Timmy Adamson is a Northern Irish footballer currently playing for Dungannon Swifts. He is recognised as being arguably the top striker in the Irish Premier League, having been Dungannon Swifts top goalscorer for a number of seasons. He previously played for Linfield FC, the most successful club in the Irish Premier League, but was plagued by injuries during his spell there, returning to previous club Dungannon when his contract was up. He has also played for Ballyclare Comrades FC. He scored the winning goal for Dungannon in their 2008-09 relegation play-off against Donegal Celtic, thus ensuring his club stay at the top level of Northern Irish football for another season. In May 2009 having scored the goals which kept them in the Premiership, Adamson committed his future to Dungannon, despite interest from a host of Irish Premier League clubs, signing a new two year deal.
