Bradley Tomlinson

Bradley Andrew Fortnam-Tomlinson (Narborough, 4 January 1995) is a British footballer who plays as a striker for Sheffield Wednesday FC and Northern Ireland u19.

His career first began non-league at Thurlaston Hawks as an 8 year old, where he was pursuaded by a family friend to start playing football. After a while he progressed into their A team named Thurslaston Magpies, where his talent was spotted by Leicester City development squad. At the age of 10 he moved to Aylestone Park the leading non-league team in Leicestershire for u16s. after 2 season playing as a forward achieving player of the season and top goalscorer in the Division 1 for under 11, he signed for leicester City Academy after recent trials over the season.

After 4 years of playing academy football he was forced back from striker to winger and to right back. as a right back at leicester city under 16 he didn't make the grade required and so was not offered a scholarship at Leicester City FC. Bradley then later took the chance to move back to a striker, where he trialed at Glasgow Rangers, Stoke City and Peterborough, All who were interested in his signiture. However, due to his uncle also being a professional footballer, both Bradley and his parents wanted to secure his eduction, as he joined Repton School, with a scholarship at the age 16, and so had to find a club who was willing to allow him to study and play. This club, happened to be Sheffield Wednesday, where he signed a 2 year extended schoolboy contract at the age of 16, after turning down the scholarship at Sheffield Wednesday. On his U18 debut, he scored a hatrick for SWFC, against MK Dons, however in the second game he injured a ligament in his knee, and was out of action for 2 months.

His second season was more success and his performances have earned to a call up for the Under 19 Northern ireland squad to face Wales on May 1st 2013 and many swfc u21 appearances. Due to change of management at swfc and Bradley not in full time football, he fell out of faavour and sheffield wednesday have decided not to offer him a professional contract and so will leave the club at the end of the season.

Videos of Bradley can be seen on youtube where he has also made appearances at u21 level and u18 level for sheffield wednesday and he is now looking for another club.
