Thomas Rau (born 10 April 1950 in Trogen, Switzerland) is the Chief Medical Director of the Paracelsus Klinik in Switzerland and founder of Paracelsus Biological Medicine. Life and work Thomas Rau attended medical school at University of Berne, and also passed the final medical examination in the USA. After completing his studies Dr. Rau first practiced as a hospital physician in rheumatology, internal and general medicine. Thereafter (1981-1992) he was the Medical Director of a Swiss clinic for rheumatology and rehabilitation medicine. He then trained in homeopathy and many natural therapies and studied the isopathic teachings of Günther Enderlein. He now teaches naturopathic healing methods, dietary, neural and isopathic therapies. In his "Theory of Biological Medicine," Rau claims that the body can function properly when one removes the burden of toxicity. Thus, according to Rau, if one can: 1) balance pH in the body, 2) reverse oxidation at the cellular level and 3) get nutrients into and wastes out of the cell, then the body can heal itself from any disease. Since 1992, Dr. Rau has served as Chief Medical Director of the Paracelsus Klinik, which he partly owns, which is a Center for Paracelsus Biological Medicine and Dentistry close the city of St. Gallen, a first of its kind in Switzerland, now widely recognized as a center of excellence for natural medicine. Dr. Rau is founder of the Swiss Homotoxicological and Regulative Therapy Society for which he served as President for many years. Also he is a Board member of the International Society of Milieu Therapy, Isopathy and Enderlein Medicine. He is considered a leading expert in Enderlein therapy, dark field microscopy, and Biologic tumor treatments. Dr. Rau's lectures internationally and in 2007 published his first book of collected papers. Dr. Rau is co-founder of the Paracelsus Biological Medicine Network.
