Thomas (Dental Surgeon)

Dr. Biju Thomas is a certified specialist implantologist and GP, and Grade A certified maxillofacial surgeon, situated in Dubai, UAE. He is also the founder of Dr. Thomas Dental Implant Clinic, UAE.
Education
Dr. Thomas' early education was in his hometown of Ernakulam, Kerala, India. As for higher education in UK and USA, Dr. Thomas completed his Bachelor of Denistry (BDS) and obtained Fellowship of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FFDRCS) between 1989 to 1991. Moreover, he is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, USA.
His area of expertise is in dental implants, including single tooth replacement, multiple tooth replacement, and full mouth dental implant treatment, in which he has over 20 years of experience. He has contributed to scholarly and academic journals within this specialization throughout his academic and professional life.
Career Experience
Between 1993 to 1997, Dr. Thomas worked at the Cambridge University Hospital, UK, which is one of NHS Foundation Trusts, as a specialist registrar of the maxillofacial department. He specialized in aseptic surgical procedures and medico-legal aspects. During this time he also mastered surgical and prosthetic management of craniofacial implants.
Next, Dr. Thomas worked at St. James's Hospital, an NHS Foundation Trust, which is affiliated with Trinity College, Dublin. Here, he worked as a specialist maxillofacial registrar, as well as a member of the trauma team. Dr. Thomas worked closely with Mr. Frank Brady, the dean of the Dentistry Department of the Royal Surgeons.
He also worked at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital as an associate specialist, where he treated patients with various dental diseases, disorders, and injuries. During this time, he gained extensive experience in advanced dental implant procedures and craniofacial implant treatments. His next step was to establish his own dental clinic.
In 2000, he established his first dental clinic in his hometown of Kerala, India, known as Scientific Dental Clinic. This is one of few specialized dental implant clinics in India that focus predominantly on dental and craniofacial implant treatment.
In 2008, Dr. Thomas opened the Dr. Thomas Dental Implant Clinic, DMCC, in Jumeirah Lake Towers, in UAE. Dr. Thomas Dental Implant Clinic is certified by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and licensed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE.
Dr. Thomas is known for dental tourism services, with patients around the globe visiting his clinics in India and UAE for cost-effective and high-quality dental implant services.
