Angelina Loo is a Canadian orthodontist from Vancouver. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia in 1985, after which she completed her general practice residency at the Hospital for Sick Children, Hugh MacMillian and Bloorview Hospitals in Toronto. She graduated with a combined certification in the specialty of Orthodontics and a Masters in Science in Craniofacial Biology in 1989 from the University of Manitoba and her research was published in the Fundamentals of Bone Growth: Methodology and Applications. Following graduation, Dr. Loo returned to Vancouver to establish a private practice, and subsequently received her orthodontic fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She has held positions as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia since 1989, and as the orthodontist on staff on the British Columbia Children's Hospital Cleft and Craniofacial Palate Team since 1991. She also teaches at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry, and is involved with the care of children with facial clefting at the British Columbia Children's Hospital Cleft and Craniofacial department. Spring for Kids She founded the Spring for Kids Foundation in in 2009, and is its current president. The foundation provides funding for education, research, surgical missions and the continued care of patients with cleft and craniofacial differences and their families. The foundation claims to have raised more than $225,000 in support of children with cleft and craniofacial differences. Affiliations Dr. Loo is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and has served as the President of the British Columbia Society of Orthodontists.
