David Aidoo (born September 1994), better known by his stage name ThisisDA, is a hip hop musician raised between London and Bristol. He has been depicted by Clash Magazine as "a brave young artist, one who isn't afraid to take risks". Music career His first EP, Based off Black was released in September 2015 and featured a guest verse from Blu. Later that year, he appeared on former XL Records signee Eyedress' debut LP Shapeshifter. The first single was co-produced by Sporting Life of Ratking. His follow up EP titled 21 & DONE was released in June 2016 and received the attention of BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens. Following the release of the project, he recorded a live session for Tom Robinson on his BBC Radio 6 Music show. He has previously opened for Jonwayne, Angel Haze and Grandmaster Flash.
