Shira gavrielov

Shira Gavrielov ( born April 4 1989) is a singer-songwriter, singing in Hebrew and English.
Shira is the daughter of a very well known singer and songwriter, Miki Gavrielov, who is considered to be one of the founding fathers of the Israeli music with over 900 songs and endless massive hits. Miki was part of a band by the name of Jericho Jones in the UK and was also a member of the psychedelic rock group, The Churchills.
Born in April 1989 in Israel, Shira started recording and performing with her father in Israel and the USA at a very young age. Shira got her musical training during summer courses at Berkley, California and at Blue lake fine arts camp. Her training consist of playing the Steel Drums, piano, classical ballet, gospel and choir singing.
In Israel, Shira Graduated from Rimon, the most prestigious mucis school in the country.
Shira released her first single in Israel at the age of 15. "Boy and Girl" became a huge radio hit.

Shira's first single from her debut album, "Morning Lightens Up", was released in 2007 and became one of the most successful singles in Israel of that year with about 1200 plays on the radio and over 100,000 Legal downloads (funtones, ringtones, mp3 etc).That song spent 3 weeks at the top of the Israeli charts and more than 4 months overall. 2007 saw also the release of Shira's self-titled debut album. Follow-up singles from that album were: "Requiem", "The Pain" and "Tagid li Lama" (Tell me why)".
Nowadays, Shira is working on her next project - an LP for the International market, for which she wrote most of the lyrics and music. The first track from her international project is a cover version of Gnarls Barkley's, Crazy, produced by top British producers Tom Nichols and Tim Baxter. Shira Also Partnered with Guitarist Adam Levy, who worked with Tracey Chapman, and Norah Jones.
