Downfall of Nur

Downfall of Nur is a Atmospheric black metal musical project formed by the Sardinian / italian musician and producer Antonio Sanna. The name and concept of the project is based on the Nuragic civilization and folklore of Sardinia, place where Antonio was born and lived his childhood before move to Argentina in 2007. Nur is the root of the name Nuraghe, which are the main type of ancient megalithic edifice found in Sardinia and developed by The Nuragic Civilization. The meaning behind Downfall of Nur basically makes reference to the fall of the Nuragic Civilization.
"The relationship between Downfall of Nur and the Nuragic civilization was born because I wanted to make a tribute to my homeland and to my ancestors and also to leave some nostalgic feelings in the songs. By 2013, I started to work on Downfall of Nur." Antonio began to making music in 2010, but it was not until 2013 that he recorded his first demo "Jhanas-Nur" as Downfall of Nur. After the releasing of one Demo and one EP the project signed with Avantgarde Music in 2015 to release the first full-length album "Umbras de Barbagia".
