Atif Ali Khan

Atif Ali Khan born (17 December) also known by the stage name The Atif and TAB-The Atif Band is a Pakistani musician, advertising guru and film maker better known for his famous Michael Jackson Rock Tributes that he recorded in the memory of the legendary pop artist.
His tributes have garnered world wide following and has received critical acclaim through I-Tunes and many online and on-air radio stations across the globe. In this unique project out of the many tributes that emerged after the demise of Michael Jackson. Atif has rendered many major hits such as Billie Jean, Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, Thriller, Bad, Who Is It and Way You Make Me Feel.
Early Life was born in Karachi with in a literary family where song-writing, poetry and prose were part of upbringing. His parents Yousuf Ali Khan and Mehar Yousuf migrated from India after the Indo-Pak partition. His father had a brief stint in the Bollywood movies as lead actor in the first make of Ghalib. His father was a business man and mother spent most of her life as housewife.
Musical Aspirations Atif self-taught piano and singing since early age despite the strict educational upbringing. He was an avid cricketer as well, batting and bowling till university level. He often claimed that he would be a cricketer, had he not been a musician.
Michael Jackson Influence In the days of tapes he first heard Michael Jackson in 1988 and was mesmerized by his 1982 Thriller album. Notably only Beat It, Thriller and Billie Jean struck Atif to force him take music on more serious level.
Due to strict educational priorities set by his family, he continued studying till his Ph.D. continuing music as side career. Working on and off as Hotelier and later as Advertising Copywriter.
Magical Jackson-The Rock Tributes by The Atif (Project) In 2009 around 29th May while missing a flight at Bangkok airport Atif was struck by the idea of rendering Billie Jean in the rock format. He recorded the song which was an instant hit at local channels and coincidently Michael Jackson's untimely demise furthered projected this project to unexpected limits. Later after the release and smash hit success of the single 'Billie Jean-The Rock Tribute' he was requested by his local label and universal to nail a full length tribute album that would be a unique milestone in the Micheal Jackson archive.
Style and Methodology Following the footsteps of Alien Ant Farm and Fall Out Boy tributes to the King of Pop, Atif recorded the first ever full length Michael Jackson Tribute Album achieving enormous online sale response and extensive worldwide touring.
Musical Aspirations Inspired by the extensive and elaborate procedures of reproducing Michael Jackson's tough technicalities, he is currently writing "The Genius of Michael Jackson" which include an indepth documentary DVD exploring and elaborating on the late of King of Pop's works.
Other Engagements He also works online as Advertising Specialist with Odesk and is currently working on his first Urdu Language album.
Currently he is in talks with a Thai event firm for performing in a series of Michael Jackson tributes known as Jack Fest. And is also planning to do a follow up album of more Michael Jackson hits.
Critical Acclaim Atif has earned world-wide respects from local and international music circuits and bands on his acute rendering of Michael Jackson's vocals and reproducing his works on an 'all-live-instruments' release. Kashan Admani and Alfred Demello performed along with on this studio release.
Personal Life Atif is a world traveller and has explored almost 70% by bus, foot and air routes. He currently resides between his Karachi and Dubai residence with his girlfriend/fiance Huma Khan and reputable Fashion Model based in UK and Pakistan.
