TheOnlineTicketShop is a website most notable for being one of multiple web sites offering fake tickets to the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
TheOnlineTicketShop is believed to have been operated by Terance Shepherd. After the website was identified for unauthorized ticket sale, it was placed into liquidation in October 2007, with debts of £1 million. Shortly thereafter, it was acquired by another company linked to Shepherd, Xclusive Tickets. However, it soon turned out that Xclusive Tickets were unable to deliver tickets to more than 4300 customers, has twice been banned from being the director of a company, for 3.5 and 6 years, respectively.<ref name="herald"/>

On 9 December 2009 the Official Receiver was appointed as provisional liquidator of the above named company
following the presentation of a winding up petition by the Secretary of State for the Department for
Business, Innovation and Skills, on the grounds of public interest, following an investigation into the Company by
Companies Investigation Branch.
