Theocratic Realism

International relations theory most commonly compared with John Mearsheimer's theory of 'Offensive realism.' Key differences between Theocratic realism and other forms of realism are its dependence on abdication to metaphysical ideals, and its extension to non-government entities operating within a global context. The term 'Theocratic realism' can be attributed to critical theorist Michael Divine, who has coined the term in a yet-to-be published book by the same name.
