+VG Architects was founded in 1952 and is located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada with offices in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada; and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They’ve been recognized for their innovative approaches to the design of heritage, cultural, educational, municipal, justice, residential and recreational buildings.
The firm not only provides traditional architectural services but also specializes in: Feasibility Studies; Master Planning; Condition Assessments; Long Term Service Delivery Analysis; Sustainable Design; Multi-use Facilitation; Cost Planning; Security Studies and Threat Assessments; Historic Research; Heritage Impact Assessment, Restoration, Preservation and Conservation.
History
Originally founded by Warren Smale in 1952 as W.M.Smale Architects in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, the firm was succeeded by Carlos Ventin in 1972 and renamed C.A. Ventin Architects. In 1997 the firm was re-established as +VG (Ventin Group) in 1997. Carlos Ventin sold the business to several of his senior employees in 2004. The firm relocated the Simcoe office to Brantford in 2008
